The story of Mr. Hoang Bay coming to earth
On the orders of his father, Mr. Hoang Bay descended to earth to become the seventh son of the Nguyen family. At the end of the Le Dynasty, during the Canh Hung Dynasty (1740-1786), our country was invaded by the Northern enemy in the Quy Hoa region (now Yen Bai and Lao Cai provinces). Especially Chau Van Ban and Chau Thuy Vi were greatly harassed by the enemy, the people's lives were miserable, and the common people were miserable. People lost their homes and land, wandering everywhere and not settling down to make a living.
Faced with that dangerous situation, the court at that time could not sit still and ignore it, so it immediately ordered the seventh general with the surname Nguyen to go to Quy Hoa area to defend. With great will and boundless love for the people, Mr. Hoang Bay did not sit still but sent troops to chase the enemy along the banks of the Red River. The first victory was that the brave army captured Khau Ban (today Bao Ha) and built a large military base in that land.
After initial success, he called on the chiefs to recruit a group of soldiers from local people. The team worked day and night to train their soldiers and dance swords to find a good opportunity to attack the Lao Cai region.
Mr. Hoang Bay came to earth as a talented general who helped the people and the country
True to the original plan, the army he led successfully liberated Lao Cai and the provinces of Quy Hoa. Gaining the trust of people throughout the region, Mr. Hoang Bay again tried to gather militia. He recruited many local tyrants and ethnic minorities such as the Dao, Tho, and Nung to come back to clear land, establish fields, and consolidate bases and strongholds.
The Northern enemy army was very dissatisfied with the Vietnamese taking back Lao Cai, so they often sent troops deep into the area to capture border areas. Mr. Hoang Bay, with his great strategic talent, was able to protect the border areas.
However, when the enemy general Ta Tu Vang focused his efforts on invading our country again, the force disparity caused the general Nguyen to die. After that, his body floated down the stream to Bao Ha land, then washed ashore, and people brought his body to bury him on the hillside of Cam Mountain. People around the area deeply mourned the sacrifice of that talented and compassionate general.
To commemorate his achievements, the Nguyen Dynasty later posthumously conferred on him the title “Tran An Hinh Quoc” and the title “Thanh Ve Quoc”.
